Belarus says pays Russia for January–September gas imports fully
MINSK, Oct 16 (PRIME) -- Belarus has fully paid the debt to Russia for January–September natural gas supplies, Energy Ministry spokeswoman Olga Kozlovich told PRIME on Friday.
"Payments for the natural gas supplied (by Russia's Gazprom) in January–September were made fully," Kozlovich said.
Earlier on Friday, Belarus received a U.S. $500 million tranche of a loan from the Eurasian Development Bank. The country planned to spend the money to repay the debt for Russian gas.
